My first try at this so be kind. The joke source in unknown so I am sorry to whom the joke might have originated from but here goes...

A friend of mine is a fast driver and proud of his skills in driving. He rigged his car on the passenger side with a sensor where a light would lit up when the passenger steps hard on the floor. He was proud for being able to make the light go off with every passenger that has taken a ride with him, frightening them into pressing the floor hard.

One day he had a passenger who he could not make the light lit up. He drove as fast as he could, even driving dangerously trying to make his passenger press the floor but he just couldn't. He thought to himself, "this is one cool dude".

The passenger was however white with fright even though he didn't pressed the floor. His legs actually simply couldn't reach the floor.

Malaysia's Most Amazing Videos

There is a new phenomena in Malaysia's internet viewers, the Malaysian version of the World's Most Amazing Videos; the subject our Parliament.

2. Point of order or is it point of disorder. I wish our politicians would just get to work instead of discussing how things should work. When they didn't have the numbers to voice their concerns, they had to keep quite. Now they have the opportunity to actually make a different and they can't keep to the subject at hand.

3. Listen to the ministers plan, question it and debate on it. At the end influence the decision and try to come to a concession. The way things are now, what is being tabled isn't the issue but who gets the last word in. Both sides are at fault but the one who looses the most are people cause issues and concerns are not brought up and time is wasted.

4. It serves as entertaining viewing. If not because of lack of time, I’d have a blog dedicated to listing and documenting subject situations or even narrating on videos of our parliament at work. I would fare that it would certainly be a popular site.

Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi would now have a tough time doing things as "no matter what it does" now have shallow meaning as the balance of power is easily tipped either way. Were the people wrong in 2008 or were they wrong earlier on in 2004? If you look at it logically, the mistake were most likely made in 2004 because the events that occurred thereafter resulted in the drastic drop in confidence reflected in the 2008 result.

2. In 2004 Malaysia's 11th general elections BN were the most popular government in the history of the country with a 90.41% majority but by 2008 just within four years that majority dropped to 62.61% or the lowest in the history of the nation, second lowest being 65.97% in 1969.

3. Prior to 2004 I would say that the people’s confidence in the BN government were at their most optimistic therefore in order to build back this optimism we must look back to what transpired prior to 2004 and compare it to the following four years.

berada dalam tanah air sendiri umpama berada dalam program realiti TV la pulak.. terlalu kerap kejutan demi kejutan yang diwar-warkan dalam media massa dan media cetak.

apa yang sering disarankan oleh pentadbir negeri, kita harus menjadi pengguna yang bijak. tapi baru saja mencongak untuk belajar mengadaptasi kenaikan harga minyak, dapat pula berita penjawat kerajaan akan menerima gaji 2 kali sebulan.

sebagai penjawat yang pernah bertugas di sektor swasta dan pernah melalui program gaji yang sama, saya tidak merasakan tindakan ini wajar malah lebih membebankan.

mungkin ramai yang tak perasan, sebenarnya gaji yang akan dibayar 2 kali sebulan itu bukanlah separuh daripada gaji bersih, tapi ianya adalah separuh dari gaji kasar.

sebagai penjawat kerajaan, setiap penjawat dibenarkan untuk membuat pinjaman kerajaan sehingga 60% dari gaji yang diterima. dan dalam penyata gaji, bukan sekadar pinjaman saja yang perlu dibayar, tapi ada lagi bayaran lain seperti takaful, yuran kelab, dan lain-lain potongan dalam jumlah yang kecil, tapi senarainya 3 kali ganda daripada senarai pendapatan yang diterima.

kepada yang berpendidikan, mungkin mampu untuk mencongak secara kasar, tapi bayangkan penjawat kerajaan bukan semuanya gaji 4 angka. kepada yang berpendapatan rendah macam mana. anak berderet kat rumah masih juga perlu disuap makananan.

apa yang akan berlaku seterusnya..?

mak bapak terpaksa bekerja lebih dan anak-anak dibiarkan di rumah. tanpa pengawasan yang wajar, apakah ada jaminan anak-anak tidak terjebak ke dalam gejala yang tidak sihat.

jadilah PENGGUNA BIJAK..
